Plans have been submitted for a new set of homes in a village near Oswestry.
Developers have applied to build four new homes in Maesbrook which they argue will provide “positive growth” to the village.
A design and access statement prepared by Roger Parry & Partners on behalf of the applicant, said: “The proposed development site is currently agricultural land, contained within the development boundary of Maesbrook, immediately to the west of the property known as The Smithy, and east of St John's Church.
“In this instance the proposed development is for the construction of four dwellings comprising open market family homes."

The application goes on to argue that “in this instance the proposed development protects the built and historic environment having been sensitively designed to respond to the local vernacular.
“The site is not located on any green belt and there are no other landscape designations applicable to the land. The site is located adjacent to existing residential development.”
The proposal claims that the current land is ripe for development.
The statement added: “It is considered that the loss of this piece of agricultural land is not significant, and the proposal would not result in any adverse ecological or environmental implications.
“However it is considered that the proposal would provide opportunities for ecological enhancements in and around the site.”
