Aberystwyth Town 2

TNS 4

TNS made it three wins from three in the JD Cymru Premier with victory on the road against Aberystwyth Town on Sunday.

It was an ideal start for the JD Cymru Premier champions who were awarded a penalty with just 24 seconds on the clock following a foul by Liam Walsh on Adam Wilson.

Aramide Oteh stepped up to send the goalkeeper the wrong way to give his side an early advantage with his fifth goal of the season.

An equaliser arrived against the run of play on 20 minutes as as a tame effort from Harry Arnison took a deflection off Jack Bodenham and trickled over the line.

Three minutes before the half-time break Craig Harrison’s side restored their advantage courtesy of Ash Baker who headed home Sion Bradley's corner.

Things got even better for the visitors just seconds before the interval as an unfortunate clearance from Rhys Davies looped over his own goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

Four minutes after the restart, Oteh was denied by Jones inside the six yard box, before a free-kick from Rico Patterson was deflected wide at the other end of the pitch.

Bradley was denied by Jones on the hour mark, Cieslewicz had two efforts blocked inside the penalty area and then former TNS-man Louis Bradford cleared an effort from Josh Pask off the line with 70 minutes gone.

Another Aberystwyth goal arrived against the run of play in the 72nd minute when Zac Hartley capitalised on a short back pass by Jake Canavan to fire past Roberts.

TNS laid siege with Ryan Brobbel's free-kick just going wide while Jordan Williams tested goalkeeper Dave Jones before Declan McManus headed home in the dying seconds of the game.
