OSWESTRY ended second best in a 36-22 defeat at home to Market Drayton in Midlands League Two on Saturday.

Oswestry led when Jacob Jones raced 25 yards for the opening try of the game but sadly it would prove his only contribution and was lost to an ankle injury soon after while Market Drayton were temporarily reduced to 14 men.

Despite their numerical disadvantage the visitors hit back with a try from Taniela Tabaleka, converted by Alex Gammon and just minutes later the 14 men of Drayton celebrated another converted try.

Oswestry hit back with Cammy Breen and Adam Beattie linking for Ewan Tulloch to cross for an unconverted try.
