SHROPSHIRE and border clubs paid their respects to a much-missed young football player earlier this month.

The first annual Tallie Brazier Cup was held at Park Hall, home of JD Cymru Premier champions TNS to raise money for charity as well as remembering Tallie Brazier, the former TNS Ladies U14 and U16 goalkeeper who passed away following a road accident in April.

Since friends and team-mates have come together to arrange the first annual football tournament in her memory with the aim of making the event a part of the women’s football calendar for clubs in Shropshire and the Welsh border.
