OSWESTRY climbed the second division table of the Midlands West (North) League with a 15-0 victory over Clee Hill.
Having drawn the reverse fixture in southern Shropshire earlier in the season the home side expected a tough afternoon with a tight opening quarter seeing the rivals cancel each other out.
However the deadlock was broken shortly after when Andrew Smith powered over the try line despite three Hill defenders hanging onto him only for the unsighted referee to cancel out the try for an infringement.
Oswestry led when Tom Williams steered over a penalty.

Oswestry were reduced to 13 men with Scott Smith and Connor Crompton sent to the sin bin but despite their numerical disadvantage the hosts increased their lead when Tommy Bromage crossed for an unconverted try.

Oswestry continued to dominate after the break and Crompton atoned for his earlier sin binning by powering over for a try with Williams adding the extras.
Pete Nelhans, Joe Capener and Bryan Toskwj were introduced and the fresh legs ensured the home side saw out the remainder of the game.
