OSWESTRY Olympians headed to Treborth near Bangor for the second round of the North Wales Cross Country League
Despite the forecast looking grim there was a good turn out of eight ladies and 13 men for the Oswestry Olympians.
It was tough going under foot but thankfully rain held off for both races while a very strong wind made running hard work.
For the ladies, Olympian newcomer Emily Cowper-Coles, who has recently moved into the Oswestry area, arrived late for the ladies race, with little time for a warm up.
She casually tied her dog Wave to a railing and then stormed her way to a fantastic first place.
Susie Hancock was over 60s female while Demi Williams, making her debut at this level, also ran very well for the border club.
Olympian finishers: 17th Jacqui Gears; 22nd Louise Willliams; 34th Louisa Woolcock; 38th Claire Lloyd; 46th, Susie Hancock; 75th, Demi. Williams; 82nd, Ashling Donohue-Harrison
For the men, Elliott Smith-Rasmussen from Bangor University was first home once again.
The Olympians grouped well to score good points in a very competitive race.
Peter Butler was first scorer for the Olympians in 11th place.
Meanwhile Evans Roberts ran strongly in his debut in the senior men’s race.
