Dramatic pictures have shown a car engulfed in flames near Ellesmere.
Fire crews from the north Shropshire town were called across the border in the Wrexham County village of Hanmer after reports that a car near a house was "fully involved" in the fire.
Images from the scene show smoke billowing from a vehicle near a hedge and wooden fence while firefighters tried to contain the flames late on Wednesday evening.
Ellesmere Fire Station added on Facebook: "On arrival, we found one vehicle fully involved in fire and in close proximity to the property.
"Crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire and protect the house."
The Ellesmere crew were called to assist North Wales Fire and Rescue Service with the incident at around 11.10pm and were back at their home station by 12.45am.
The cause of the fire has not yet been disclosed.
