A property near Llanarmon was hit with ‘substantial damage’ after a landslide caused by poor weather from Storm Bert.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed that a property near Llanarmon was hit by a landslide yesterday afternoon (November 23) after heavy rainfall.
Fast melting snow and heavy rain from Storm Bert saw local river and land overwhelmed with water leading to a landslide as part of yesterday’s chaos caused by Storm Bert.

The fire team from Ellesmere were called to assist the North Wales teams after a landslide hit the property which was “flooded with water and debris”.
A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call at 13:53 this afternoon and five crews - one from Llangollen, Ruthin and Johnstown and two from Wrexham - attended a landslide incident in the Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog area.

“Firefighters assisted occupants from a property affected which was flooded with water and debris.
“The property has sustained substantial damage due to the force of the landslide.
“There remains significant flooding in the area, and we are advising people to ensure they adhere to local road closures and keep up-to-date on flood warnings.”
This came as there was flash flooding in Gobowen and Bronygarth yesterday which saw fire teams trying to tackle the rising waters.
