HUNDREDS of people braved the dropping temperatures in Oswestry as the Christmas celebrations kicked off in style on Thursday.
Crowds gathered at the Bailey Head in low temperatures and were treated to a show that is a huge tradition in Oswestry with local groups and schools singing and dancing.
The performers included Derwen College, Os Rocks, Attfield Theatre, with Chloe Elizabeth Dance School, Borderland Theatre and they were joined by schools from across the town.

They added: “Up next in the town centre are the upcoming events.
