A NEW minister coming to Oswestry says he is looking forward to meeting new people at his church in the new year.
Benjamin Sealey, 50, is moving to the Albert Road Evangelical Church, in Albert Road, Oswestry, with an official induction in January 2025, though his work in the town is already underway.
The minister will be moving to the town with his wife and three children from Chester, where they currently live, to take over the role at Albert Road.

He said: “I’ve already started but I will be officially inducted to the role in January.
“I currently live in Chester but we are in the process of sorting the move to Oswestry.
“It’s a full-time role – I used to work in Manchester at the All Nations Church and was commuting there from Chester.
“This is an Evangelical Church which means it is non-denominational but it is part of a group called the Evangelical Alliance.
“It’s a church that offers people a space for community while also being a space for biblical teaching.
“But we will also provide a space for coffee mornings, meetings and kids clubs, among other things, but Sundays are for what would be considered traditional services.
“By that I mean, biblical teaching and worship and I have to say that it can be quite lively.
“I’ve come to Oswestry because it’s a beautiful and lovely town that comes with a great ministry here.
“I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and doing Christ’s work here.”
Ben will be joining three managing trustees at the church in Gill Scott-Forrest, Gill Cox and Phil Newman.
The church offers various services, online and in church plus services for other communities such as Oswestry’s Bulgarian community.
Each Thursday, there is the Little Gems Toddler Group and coffee mornings from 10.30am on Fridays.

A spokesman added: “Albert Road Evangelical Church is made up of people from all kinds of Christian background.
“But what we share is the common belief in the message of the cross of Jesus Christ
and how it should be at the core of everything we are and do.
“This is what the word "evangelical" in our name means.”
