Schools in the Oswestry area have announced they will be closed as a result of snow that has fallen overnight.
As snow continues to fall on Shropshire and the surrounding area on the morning of Tuesday, November 19, several schools across the county have announced they will be closed for the duration of the day.
Woodside Primary School announced they would be closed at 8.15am, alerting parents before they started making the journey for the 9am school start time.

Weston Rhyn, between Oswestry and Chirk, on the Shropshire/North Wales border, also announced they would be closed, being included on Shropshire Council's list of any unplanned closures.
Both schools cited snow as the reason for their closure and did not include a potential time for later today where they might re-open, suggesting both closures will be for the entire day.
Other primary schools closed across Shropshire due to snow include Bishop Hooper in Ashford Carbonell, Cleobury Mortimer Primary, Clunbury, Cliftins, Kinlet, St George's in Clun and St Mary's in Bucknell.
