Year seven will be the focus at a 'prestigious' Shropshire school this weekend.
Ellesmere College will open its doors on November 23 to showcase the opportunities available to prospective students.
The open morning will highlight the facilities and academic activities at the North Shropshire boarding and day school.
Stephen Mullock, deputy head of external relations, said: "We are excited to hold our 'Spotlight on Year 7' event which will give visitors a chance to speak with current students and teachers at Ellesmere College.
"This is a perfect opportunity to experience first-hand what makes our school a nurturing, innovative and vibrant environment for young learners."
The event is aimed at those considering joining year seven in September 2025.
It will provide an insight into the year seven programme and the opportunities available at the school.
Mr Mullock said: "The event is designed to provide an informal and welcoming space to show visitors what makes our year seven programme develop young minds and the breadth of opportunities, including giving an insight into the experience, atmosphere and energy of Lower School.
"This open morning is an essential step in choosing the right school for your child’s journey, combining academic excellence with holistic development, so we encourage people to join us and see why Ellesmere is the perfect place for your child to flourish."
The lower school, which caters for years three to eight, will be open from 10am until midday.
Current pupils are preparing for house plays before Christmas, which staff say helps to build teamwork and creativity.
The open morning will also provide the chance to meet the head of lower school and learn about the school's co-curricular opportunities, from the arts to sports and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
There will be information about enrichment, pastoral care, and the facilities available at the site, as well as full school tours conducted by senior students.
Further information about enrichment, pastoral care, and the facilities will be available at the site.
Mr Mullock said: "Our dedicated staff will be on hand at the event to showcase our personalised approach to education and support, as well as the exceptional pastoral care ensuring every student feels supported and valued as they grow.
"Visitors could also explore our focused learning environment, meet our students and see how they thrive academically whilst being encouraged to think critically and creatively.
"But most importantly it will be an informal event as we want visitors to look around in their own time and discover aspects that are important to them and their families, helping envision their life at Ellesmere."
The open morning will allow visitors to speak with the admissions staff about entrance exams, scholarships, and transport.
