A busy main road near Oswestry is closed this evening following a serious collision.
Emergency services are currently responding to a crash on the A5 from the Mile End roundabout towards Shrewsbury.
West Mercia Police said the section of road is expected to be closed for some time.
The force said: "People are advised to seek alternative routes whilst emergency services are at the scene.
"Thank you for your patience and understanding."
National Highways said the A5 is closed in both directions between the A483 (Mile End) and B4396 (Wolfshead) due to the serious collision.
