Town Councillor James Owen made a public appeal for the council to make repairs to both the sinkhole and the “slip n slide” paths at Wilfred Owen green and Shelf Bank.

Cllr Owen slammed the council for a lack of action in an area that had become a “terrible condition” and “outright dangerous”.

Cllr Owen, who represents the Cambrian ward, said: “Walking across these areas, residents are faced with boggy conditions, rotting wood, broken play equipment, and the list just goes on.”
