A man has been jailed for assaulting police in Oswestry as well breaking a student’s jaw.
Joe Farrell, 21 and of Meole Brace, Shrewsbury, received a total of 22 months from Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday, November 11.
He pleaded guilty to all the offences.
Farrell was given a 12-month sentence for fracturing the jaw of a college student in Shrewsbury in September 2022.

He was also given a four-month sentence for attacking a police officer in May this year as they investigated an armed robbery in Oswestry.
The court heard that he had to be sprayed twice by police, grabbed one officer by the throat and tried to grab a stab vest before running.
Farrell was given six months for three other offences of assaulting an emergency worker as well as three one-month sentences, all to be served concurrently.
