Police are investigating a burglary after a village shop near Oswestry was broken into overnight.
Kinnerley Village shop was closed this morning (November 4) after staff discovered they had been broken into overnight.
In a post online the shop said: “Unfortunately the shop will be closed this morning due to being broken into. We will update you as to when we will be open.”

The shop reopened this afternoon with the staff thanking members of the public who were concerned for their wellbeing – “Thank you everyone, we are all ok and as always, we are here to serve.”
West Mercia Police have confirmed that they have launched an investigation into the break-in.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “We received a call around 6:00 am this morning (4 November) with a report of a business having been burgled in Kinnerley, Shropshire.
“An investigation is now on going.”
