Drivers had a lucky escape after a multi-vehicle crash on the A5 near Oswestry.
West Mercia Police have confirmed that no one was injured after the crash on the A5 near West Felton yesterday evening (November 3).

The crash which left the road closed for several hours caused “significant damage” to four vehicles who crashed near Weirbrook.
Shropshire fire and Rescue Service confirmed teams from West Midlands Ambulance service were also at the scene but were thankfully not needed.
Three fire crews were called to the scene from Ellesmere, Baschurch and Shrewsbury.

Ina post online an officer from Ellesmere Fire Station said: “At 18.29 this evening, we were mobilised with colleagues from Baschurch station to a multi-vehicle collision on the A5.
“On arrival, we were pleased to find that, despite significant damage, occupants had been able to exit their cars unaided.
“Crews worked with partner agencies and made vehicles electrically safe.”
The crash left the road “completely closed” with local West Mercia Police officers warning the public of the potential disruption.
In a post online Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “Major RTC A5 at West Felton involving four vehicles.

The road remained closed from 6.30pm until 10.30pm causing tailbacks in both directions.
According to an update from West Mercia Police, no arrests have been made in relation to the crash.
