The A5 near Oswestry has been closed by police after multiple vehicles were involved in a crash.
West Mercia Police have confirmed that the A5 near Oswestry is “completely closed” after a serious crash this evening (November 3).
In a post online officers from the Oswestry area said: “Major RTC A5 at West Felton involving four vehicles. The road is completely closed.
“Fire, police and ambulance on scene.”
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they also have sent multiple crews to the scene .

A spokesperson for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 18:26 on Sunday, November 3, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Oswestry.
“Three fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.
“Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.”
Traffic maps are currently showing that traffic is at a standstill on the A5 near West Felton.
The traffic information system Inrix has said that the“A5 both ways closed, queueing traffic due to accident from Gamester's Lane (Weirbrook) to B5009 (Queens Head).”
The condition of those involved is unclear at this time.
