Barry Town Utd 1 TNS 4

TNS eased to a comfortable win at Barry Town United to extend their winning run to seven games in the JD Cymru Premier on Saturday.

A slow start yielded little action for the opening 20 minutes before the Saints began to create openings with Ben Clark and Ashley Baker firing wide while Connor Roberts was also in action at the other end to deny Evan Press.

Home goalkeeper Luc Rees was called upon to deny Declan McManus after 27 minutes before the deadlock was broken moments later with Danny Davies turning home Baker's cross.

Seconds later Baker seized on a loose ball following Leo Smith's corner to double the Saints' lead.

Barry were jolted into life and reduced the arrears on 35 minutes when Rhys Wilmott's cross caused chaos in the visitors' goalmouth before being deflected into his own net by Davies.

Both sides carved openings at the start of the second-half with Rees denying Clark while with Barry also threatening with Ollie Hulbert heading wide from close range.

It was all over on 65 minutes with Smith rifling home via the crossbar.

McManus had second goal ruled out for offside in the 78th minute but the Oswestrians had already done enough to celebrate a comfortable win on the road.
