An Oswestry caterer has been reflecting on his career.
Tim Roberts, 51, who runs Su Casa Cuisine in Oswestry, has recently had good news in his career and is delighted to be on the up.

“We started out doing the Ellesmere food festival, Oswestry Food Festival, some of the first Shrewsbury food festival,” said Tim. “We did the Eisteddfod in Llangollen and you get musical acts there like the Manic Street Preachers, the Kaiser Chiefs and Gregory Porter.
“We got spotted - from that we did gigs with Tom Jones and Madness. From there we got involved in catering for the Michael Buble tour doing about 20 concerts all over the country.
“Some of the acts we have got to chat to, I’m a big Smiths fan and we did Johnny Marr at old Trafford cricket ground, I was literally 10 yards from him chatting to him during the sound check it was great.”
“When I was in school I was going to be a lawyer, got law degree and thought ‘I don’t really want to do this’,” said Tim. “I travelled for a bit round Europe and got working for Eurocamp.
“I had always been into Keith Floyd and Rick Stein I ended up cooking – which was for about 100-150 people. It got us out of the hard work didn’t have to take down any of the tents.
“I came back to the UK and got started with a couple of Paella pans and some camping stoves.
“The first private party I did, I was cooking in someone’s conservatory on top of the washing machine.”
