THREE keen runners at an Oswestry law firm have already turned their eyes to 2025 after completing the Oswestry 10k run last week.
GHP Legal, in Willow Street, is known for its staff joining in with local events and last week’s [popular run was no different as three ladies from its finished the Oswestry 10k run this month with promises of signing up again next year.
Secretary Kerri Williams, solicitor Myfanwy Murray and paralegal Lucy Tucker all work in the Oswestry offices of GHP Legal, which regularly sponsors Adrenalin Sporting Events.

Each year, GHP Legal partner, Hywel Jones, a keen sportsman and runner, musters up entrants from his firm’s 100 or so staff members.

He said: “The Oswestry 10k run is a great community event that has enjoyed an increased following since restarting after lockdown.
“It’s great that our staff can enjoy mixing with colleagues outside of work, in a different environment.”

Out of 980 runners, first time participant, Kerri, finished sixth out of 411 women who entered this year, clocking a time of 44 minutes and 11 seconds.
Normally a participant in trail and fell races, Kerri decided to enter as the start line was just ten minutes from her front door.
Third time entrant Myfanwy, who took up running after her pony, Rusty, became too old for more than a gentle ‘plod’, tries to run two or three times a week to keep fit, while competitive U63 open powerlifter, Lucy, has in the past run semi-professionally and also enjoys hiking.
