ROAD repairs have been carried out after flood damage in Gobowen, Shropshire Council has confirmed.
The authority took to social media to show residents that workers have already begun the clean-up operation after Station Road was flooded after heavy rains on Wednesday.
The flooding led to trains between Shrewsbury and Wrexham to be cancelled for the rest of the day and traffic was diverted to avoid the area as cars began to struggle with the flood water.
A spokesman from Shropshire Council said: “In Gobowen the clear-up is under way with teams also carrying out some road repairs.”
The flooding was among the worst in the county as trains were delayed by the heavy rains but most roads reopened by Thursday morning.
