TNS 3 Cardiff Met 0
TNS returned to winning ways with a comfortable victory against Cardiff Met University on Saturday.
It was the ideal start for Craig Harrison’s side as the deadlock was broken via an own goal with less than three minutes on the clock as Evan Cadwallader deflected Ashley Baker's right wing cross into his own net.
Jake Canavan fired wide before TNS doubled their lead with Rory Holden's cross met powerfully by Danny Davies to head home.
A rare opening for the Archers was snuffed out by goalkeeper Connor Roberts to deny Tom Vincent after half an hour.
Remi Oteh was denied by the offside flag before the break while the Saints continued to dominate after the interval with Baker going close before Ryan Brobbel was denied by the flag.
Dan Williams and Adrian Cieslewicz fired wide before Oteh slotted past goalkeeper Alex Lang on the hour to ensure the spoils.
TNS could have added to their tally late on with Josh Daniels heading wide before Lang denied Declan McManus but the Saints had already done enough to seal the points and end their recent blip in form.
TNS: Roberts, Pask, Brobbel (Bradley 77), Redmond (Doforo 83), Cieslewicz (McManus 83), D Williams, Oteh (Clark 83), Holden, Davies, Baker (Daniels 77), Canavan. Subs: Karolan, Bodenham
