A woman has been taken to hospital with “serious injuries” following a crash in Ellesmere that left a road closed in both directions.
West Mercia Police have confirmed that a woman has been taken to hospital via air ambulance after a crash on a stretch of the A528 on Grange Road in Ellesmere.
The accident, which took place between Caegoody Lane and the Penley turn off, happened on Friday, October 11.
Police added that although the women’s injuries are considered serious they also do not believe them to be life threatening.

Emergency services are currently on the scene, with the road currently closed in both directions while the vehicles involved in the collision are being recovered.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “Emergency services are currently on scene at a collision on the A528 in Ellesmere.
“One woman has been taken to hospital via air ambulance with serious injuries, we don’t believe them to be life threatening at this time.
“The road is currently closed as recovery is being arranged for the vehicles involved. No arrests have been made.”
