Two people have been arrested for drug dealing in Oswestry after a “vast" quantity of drugs were seized.
West Mercia Police have confirmed they made a double arrest related to drug dealing taking place in Oswestry town centre on Friday (October 4).
The Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood team have confirmed they took part in the operation which saw the pair arrested for suspected drug dealing on York street.
After the pair were arrested, the team searched the property on York Street and found “vast amount of drugs of significant value”.

West Mercia Police have confirmed that the investigation of this case remains ongoing.
Oswestry based officers have encouraged anyone who may have information related to this case or any other instances of drug dealing to get in touch.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “On Friday October 4, the Town Centre Team made two arrests relating to drug dealing on York Street.
“The team later went on to search the address and managed to seize a vast amount of drugs of significant value. Investigation still ongoing.
“If you have any information relating to drug dealing in the town centre please get in touch.”
