A PUB in the centre of Ellesmere is up for sale again, just a few months short of its two-year anniversary of being closed.
The Black Lion Hotel in Scotland Street was first closed around Christmas in 2022 and has not reopened since with its former manager Christopher Peach jailed for fraud last year.
The pub, which has been previously operated by Admiral Taverns who spent much of 2023 looking for a new tenant to take over the historic premises.

The hotel has three en-suite rooms while a further five rooms remain undeveloped for commercial purposes.
According to Sidney Phillips, there are two bars, a restaurant area and a function room which all comes as part of the building.
There is also significant accommodation above the pub for any potential tenants or owners with a staggering five bedrooms.
The pub closed over Christmas 2022 where, while reservations were honoured for people who had booked festive dinners, alcohol was no longer served.
Then in December 2023, Peach was jailed for carrying out a £1.9 million cheque fraud.
