A BODY has sadly been discovered following searches for a missing 62-year-old man from Chirk, police have said.
North Wales Police has confirmed that a body has been found in Shropshire in the search for Anthony Roberts, from Chirk.
Detective Chief Inspector Dean Jones said: “Formal identification has not yet been confirmed, but Anthony’s family and the Coroner have been informed.
“I would like to thank the public for their support and assisting with our enquiries during our search for Anthony.
“Our thoughts remain with his family.”
Anthony had been missing since July 5, prompting numerous police appeals for information.
