Fire crews were called to Oswestry after a fire involving a toaster.
Shropshire Fire and Recue Service have confirmed that their Oswestry crews were called to a house fire yesterday evening (September 25).
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service have said that they were called to Greenfield Square yesterday evening after initial reports of a house fire.
After using a ladder to gain entry to the property they discovered that the fire had been caused by someone in the property leaving items on top of a toaster.

A spokesperson for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 5.23pm on Wednesday September, 25, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Oswestry.
“Two fire appliances were mobilised from Oswestry. An operations officer was in attendance.
"Crews used a short extension ladder and a Thermal imaging camera to tackle the fire.
“Smoke in kitchen due to items left on toaster. Items cleared and advice given.”
