A hospital is hosting a recruitment day to spotlight clinical roles.
The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry is opening its doors on Sunday, September 29, from 10am to 12.30pm.
This will be the first recruitment event of 2024, following similar events throughout 2023. Potential candidates can learn about various openings across the trust, including roles within the theatre team.
The event coincides with the hospital's preparation to open its new £10 million theatre building extension, which aims to increase capacity and reduce waiting lists.
The hospital's learning and development team will also be present to offer career advice and information on various opportunities. These include 'step into work' for veterans, ongoing professional development, preceptorship, and apprenticeship provision across the hospital.
Attendees will be welcomed at the main entrance and then proceed to the hospital’s £6 million Headley Court Veterans’ Orthopaedic Centre. Here, they will have the opportunity to speak with staff and tour various areas of the site.
The event aims to provide an insight into working in an organisation rated 'outstanding' for care by the Care Quality Commission. The hospital also boasts the highest standards of care and cleanliness, according to the latest adult inpatient survey.
The recruitment day is open to candidates at all stages of their careers. This includes students in their final year seeking their first permanent role, as well as experienced individuals looking for a new challenge.
The hospital also welcomes nurses and allied health professionals wishing to return to practice. More information about working at the hospital can be found at rjah.nhs.uk/work-with-us.
Stacey Keegan, chief executive at RJAH, said: "This is a fantastic place to work, and I am extremely proud of the incredible feedback we get from our patients, who tell us regularly about the huge impact we make on their quality of life.
"RJAH is a growing hospital and we want to bring in the best people to help us on our journey.
"Our Recruitment Days were a huge success last year so I am delighted that we are bringing them back to help us fill our current openings."
