Llanfyllin Medical Centre has provided an update on its fundraising campaign to support their dispensing services to patients.
The doctors surgery said its aim is to raise enough funds to purchase a prescription collection unit for each of its three surgeries, having launched the fundraiser earlier this year.
The practice noted that the dispensary would help them with the “rising workload” of providing up to 1,000 items a day to patients across their surgeries.

In a post on social media, staff said: “A huge thank to everyone who has chosen to support us so far, we thank you for your continued support in helping us to provide a better service for our patients and support our team.
“The collection units provide a safe, quick, and secure way for patients to collect their pre-ordered medication from the surgery of their choice; 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
Llanfyllin Group Practice hope that a better dispensing system will be a safe and secure way for patients to collect their pre ordered medication at a time convenient to them, reduce queues at peak times and allow the dispensary team more time to spend with those patients.
