A man in Oswestry was immediately rearrested over a stolen bike – only hours after being bailed for theft.
West Mercia Police have confirmed that they immediately rearrested a man after he was identified as suspect in the theft of a bike – only hours after he had been bailed for the theft of amazon packages.
Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Team said they had identified the man, who had prior offences for burglary and theft, as a suspect over thefts in the local area.
Officers stopped the man in the town centre on July 6 and discovered a stolen Amazon package on his person and was arrested.
The next day he was bailed the next day, however police were forced to arrest him again after he was identified as the man who stole a bike outside St Oswald’s Church.
