A Moreton Hall Student is celebrating after finding out she is one of the highest performing students in the country.
Sixth Form student Cara Puvogel, from Chile, achieved 100 per cent in the Cambridge English Proficiency Test.
Having been at the Oswestry school since 2021, the international student has shown exceptional proficiency in English, scoring the highest possible grade in the test which asses your reading, use of language, writing and speaking.
Ms Puvogel has been selected for the England Hockey’s Talent Academy, where players aged between 15 to 18 are selected based on their high potential.
She is also the first XI Hockey Captain at Moreton Hall.
Her proud mother Patricia said: "Moreton Hall has been fundamental in Cara’s development, always pushing her to give her best and enjoy learning.
"She has been taught that there are no limits when you work hard and consistently."
Ms Puvogel recently took part in the Cambridge Biology Challenge where she and her team scored highly enough to be placed on the national leaderboard.
The nationwide competition, which focuses on deep thinking about Cambridge's questions, has invited them to attend a 'Celebration Day' at Homerton College, Cambridge.

Ms Puvogel is a member of the student-run business Moreton Enterprises and an active participant in the Rylands Diploma, a life skills course for future life beyond Sixth Form.
She has also been an Eco Team leader and more recently, a Prefect and Deputy Head of Stables House, mentoring Year 7 and 8 pupils.
In a recent interview, Ms Puvogel said: "I would recommend Moreton Hall to everyone as it's very unique, it has activities which you wouldn't find in other schools and has a very friendly and warm environment."
Currently prepping for her second year of A Level studies at Moreton Hall, Ms Puvogel has set her sights high for the future.
She is hoping to read medicine and continue her education at one of the country's top universities, either Cambridge or Edinburgh.
