A MOTORCYLIST was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries as a result of the accident that closed part of the A5 near Mile End services on Sunday.
West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Services(WMAS) both attended the scene at around 1.10pm following the crash that closed the Welshpool-bound roundabout for a couple of hours.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police confirmed officers were called.

They said: “We were called to a collision on the A5 in Oswestry, near to the Mile End services, at around 1.10pm on Sunday, July 28, following reports of a collision between a car and a motorbike.
“The rider of the motorbike was taken to hospital for further treatment, and their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.”

A spokesman for WMAS said: "We were called at 1.17pm on Sunday to Mile End Service Area, Shrewsbury Road, Oswestry following a collision involving a car and a motorbike.
"One ambulance attended and treated the motorcyclist, a woman, who had sustained potentially serious injuries.
"She was stabilised on scene before being taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital."
