THE heat of the sun has been blamed for Oswestry firefighters being called to a property on Sunday morning.
One Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) crew from Oswestry was sent to Lime Grove at around 8.50am after reports of steam.
A SFRS spokesman confirmed that blocked guttering was to blame as the sun came up.

They said: “Crews used a hosereel jet and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the fire.
“Because of a blocked guttering, steam was produced due to warm weather.”
A stop message was sent to SFRS control around 40 minutes later to confirm no further support was required.
