OSWESTRY’s Mile End roundabout system has been hit by a traffic-stopping accident for the second time in three days, with road users warned to find a different route.
After Friday’s overturned milk tanker, officers from Oswestry’s Safer Neighbourhood Team – from West Mercia Police – have taken to social media to warn road users to avoid the area following an accident.
They said: “RTC A5 junction with Shrewsbury Rd, near Mile End Roundabout, Oswestry.

“Avoid if possible please.”
The highways monitoring website Inrix confirmed the closure.
It said: “A483 both ways closed, stationary traffic due to accident from A5 (Mile End Roundabout) to Maesbury Road.”
Meanwhile, Google Maps is showing that traffic around the A483 southbound roundabout at Mile End is at a standstill but traffic could improve.
