Multiple fire crews were called out to a burning baler near Oswestry.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue were called out to a fire at Elms Farm in Middleton yesterday evening (July 26).
Five crews from Baschurch, Ellesmere, Oswestry and Shrewsbury stations were called out a 8.42pm after receiving calls about a burning vehicle.
When there, they found a large baler in flames which took several hours to extinguish.
The fire was substantial with smoke visible for several miles.

A spokesperson for Oswestry Fire station said: “At 8.42pm Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as LGV Fire.
“Five fire appliances, including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier, were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere, Oswestry and Shrewsbury.
“Operations and Principal officers were in attendance.
“A large baler, 100 per cent involved in fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, two hosereel jets, four drag rakes and a thermal imaging camera
“A reinspection has been booked.
“It has been a really busy night for the Fire Service. Fire crews are still on the scene.”
