A spillage involving a heavy goods vehicle has closed a roundabout on the outskirts of Oswestry.
West Mercia Police has warned motorists to avoid Mile End Roundabout which connects the A5 and A483.
Traffic monitoring website Inrix said the A5 is closed in both directions "due to accident" between the A483 Mile End Roundabout and A495 Whittington Roundabout.
In a statement posted on social media, West Mercia Police said: "We are currently on scene of a road closure due to a spillage involving a HGV at the Mile End Roundabout on Shrewsbury Road on Oswestry.
"Please seek alternative routes, avoiding this area."
