"This is a special industry and the K9 clients we serve deserve the absolute best. To misquote a line from Spiderman, Working in the pet industry comes with a great responsibility, and we must strive to be the best we can, and Demi has certainly done that."

The K9 Personal Trainer started out as a simple dog training business, but has soon evolved into helping disabled owners with their pet owners.

Demi has disabilities and chronic illness and strives to provide education and help to struggling dog owners that need just that extra bit of bespoke treatment when it comes to their training plans.

From working with clientele who have had leg injuries after new years parties and need help adjusting their dog training to suit their current needs and those who have gained their disabilities either through accidents, medical episodes or late diagnosed illness.

Demi runs a podcast called ‘Chronic With A Canine’ which helps spread awareness around the difficulties and joys of pet ownership when you’re disabled.

“I am really happy to accept this award, especially during Disability Pride Month," said Demi.

"Being inspirational has it’s perks, and if I can inspire other disabled dog owners to gain new skills to enjoy life to the max with their hounds, then I know I’ve done my job.”
