OSWESTRIANS who braved the rain to give their support to the town’s food and drink festival have been thanked by its mayor.

Councillor Mike Isherwood, joined by his family, officially cut the ribbon to officially open the festival across Bailey Street and Cross Street plus the Bailey Head.

He said he felt that the turnout for the festival was one the town can be proud of, given the poor weather with heavy rains, and said he thoroughly enjoyed his first as mayor.

“I felt it was a really successful day and it was a fantastic event but as we take it on more, we aim to listen and learn and make 2025 an even better event.
