A Dobbies' store near Oswestry has announced a new family activity they are hosting during the summer holidays.

The UK's leading garden centre is inviting families to its Moreton Park store for an exciting activity: a teddy bears' picnic where children can make their own teddy bear keepsake.

This 90-minute interactive session, designed for children between the ages of three and 10, will take place in the afternoon on July 27, August 3, and 4.

However, families with younger kids are welcome to participate in the picnic too.

Children will have the opportunity to stuff, fluff and name a teddy bear of their choice and will receive a teddy birth certificate to mark the moment.

Employees at Dobbies' Moreton Park store will also host a storytelling corner where tales of bear adventures will be shared.

There will also be various games and activities inspired by teddy bears.

Included in the picnic experience, children will receive a picnic box with a variety of sandwich options, a drink, and a selection of snacks.

Meanwhile, adults can get a cake and a hot beverage.

Creating this event, Sarah Murray of Dobbies extended a warm welcome to all children.

She said: "This brand-new event is a great opportunity for kids to come together and experience the wonderful joy that comes with making their very own teddy bear to take home.

"Children will also enjoy a picnic experience, filled with food, fun and storytelling.

"We’re encouraging families cosy up and get comfy by bringing their own picnic blankets, beach towel or cushions."

The picnic experience costs £15.99 for children over three and £7.99 for those under three.

Adult tickets are priced at £7.40.

Making a teddy bear is only suitable for children over the age of three years old, those under three are encouraged to bring their favourite teddy.
