The popular Osborders Repair Café returns for the last time before summer at Oswestry's Memorial Hall on Saturday, July 13.

As part of the Llanfyllin-based environment group BRACE (Build Resilience Against Climate Emergency) and Extinction Rebellion Oswestry, the event aims at reducing waste and saving money by repairing rather than replacing items.

Group spokesperson Alison Alexander said: "Fixperts love getting together to mend things and encouraging others to do the same.

"These are always really warm, friendly social gatherings, the cake is delicious and we all save ourselves some money into the bargain."

Visitors are welcome to bring their broken items for free repair from 12pm-3pm and learn valuable skills from experienced repairers.

For those unable to attend the Saturday event, the Mid Week Mend will continue on Wednesday at 36 Bailey Street, from 11am-2pm.

Donations for the free repairs and refreshments are welcome, to help cover expenses.

Please book items in for repair before July 7 via Osbordersrepaircafe@gmail.com or contact Colin at 01691 239344.

Some walk-in appointments will also be available on the day.
