Chetwood Financial Limited has partnered with Hope House Children's Hospices, pledging year-long support to the organisation.

Based in Morda on Oswestry's outskirts, Hope House provides specialist nursing care and assistance to more than 750 children and their families in Cheshire, Shropshire, and North and Mid Wales.

The Charity operates from two centres, Hope House in Oswestry and Tŷ Gobaith in Conwy.

During the initial three months of the partnership, the digital bank based in Wrexham showcased its support through two flagship events: 'ChetFest' and a 'Hackathon'.

ChetFest, an annual event for employees, raised £7,000 in support of the hospice.

Meanwhile, the Hackathon held in May brought together the creation of innovative ideas like accessible holidays, days out, and live chat apps with trained counsellors.

Louise Millar, people director, said: "We're delighted that our partnership with Hope House is off to such a strong start.

"Hope House provides an incredibly important service for children undergoing hospice care and their families, and being able to contribute meaningfully to their cause is truly rewarding.

"We have a strong commitment to community engagement, and through events like ChetFest and our Hackathon, we aim to bring our team and partners together to support worthy causes and create innovative solutions that can benefit the community.

"We are excited about the future and look forward to further events we have planned later in the year."

Cat Dowdeswell, fundraising team leader at Hope House, said: "With over 70 families living in Wrexham who access Hope House Children’s Hospices for support, it’s so important for local companies to work alongside our wonderful hospices to make sure we can be there for all those who need us.

“We were thrilled to hear the total raised so far and to welcome representatives from Chetwood to our recent hospice Open Morning.

"The team left inspired, motivated and educated, and we look forward to working together over the coming months.

“There are so many ways in which local companies can support our hospices, from volunteering to taking part in our events, and we are very excited about this partnership and our future plans.”

Chetwood Financial Limited earned its full UK banking licence in 2018.
