FOOD and drink lovers and experts are being welcomed to head to Ellesmere this weekend for the town’s festival of flavours.

The town’s Food and Drink Festival will be held at the Market Hall, in Scotland Street on both Saturday, June 29 and also Sunday, June 30.

It will run from 10am until 4pm on both days.

A spokesman for the festival promised there will be plenty of offer for people wishing to get out and expand their palates.

 They said: “We will be showcasing impressive varieties of top quality produce, from fruit, vegetables, cheeses, meat products, ice cream, wines, beers to homemade chocolates and preserves all from local and regional producers, suppliers, restaurants and more.

“This will be a weekend of fantastic fun for all who enjoy culinary delights, a drink or two and share it with your friends, families and loved ones.

“These are just a few of the exhibitors:

“The Shropshire Distillery has evolved from a long-standing family business specialising in the small pie product range.

“Continued expansion in recent years has incorporated the development of their range of large pre-portioned speciality pies.

“All products are hand finished in trheir approved manufacturing facility in Wrexham, North Wales.

“Meanwhile, Percy Puds Speciality Sausages will be offering products from around the world.

“Bratwurst is a vintage catering caravan serving all-natural italian gelato ice cream without all the nasties!
