A POPULAR print shop in Ellesmere has announced via social media that it has closed down with immediate effect, in what has been called a ‘huge blow to the town’.

Maxwell’s Printing and Photocopying Service, in Market Street, will no longer trade according to a post made by former mayor and current councillor Paul Goulbourne on Saturday.

He said that he was passing on a request from owner Maxwell Bussy who said that costs of running the business have become too high and he did not want to burden his customers with them.

OTHER NEWS:

Paul said: “This is to let everyone know that as from (sic) yesterday (Friday) Maxwell’s Printing and Photocopying Service ceased trading.

“This is due mainly to raising costs which can’t be passed on to the customers.

“The closure of this local business will be a huge blow to the town, as this business has been providing a service for many years to local groups and churches printing monthly magazines posters etc.

“(He thanked) Di Harvey and the huge help and support she has given the community and Maxwell over the years.”

Social media users replying to Paul’s post were quick to thank Maxwell and Di for their years of service to Ellesmere and expressed their sadness at the closure.
