LLANFYLLIN Town Football Club has ramped up its search for a new manager to lead the Magpies into a new era.

The MMP Central Wales North club has had a busy pre-season off the field with work on Cae Llwyn as well as launching a brand new club badge.

A host of new and familiar faces have also taken up roles as the club embraces its new partnership with 2J Global Sports which is part owned by Llanfyllin raised Jamie Digwood whose family has long held close links with the club.

Now the club has offered the new manager a pathway into the game, including assistance with coaching licences, study visits to the biggest clubs in the UK to enhance coaching knowledge, including spending time at EPL, Championship, League One and Two clubs.

OTHER NEWS:

The new manager will also be given the chance to partake in an annual study visit to a top European club, which will include behind-the-scenes training sessions and meetings with elite coaching staff.

A club spokesman said: “The head coach is a voluntary role with amazing benefits. The right candidate must be a role model to all our players, especially our junior members. They will be required to commit to the ongoing development of our club and share our values, and vision.

“We will personally assist the next coach to follow in their footsteps. This is a community club that has a long history, and we believe that our contacts and knowledge will be a support for another young coach from the local region to make their first steps into potentially professional football.”

The club and 2J have stated that gender is not a factor in the application process and actively encourage female, as well as male coaches to apply for the role.

Terry Ingram, who is part of the football development team said: “This is an amazing opportunity for a coach who wants to learn and develop within the game. With the club’s new partnership with 2J Global Sports Limited, it will assist an up-and-coming football coach in learning, from those at the very top of the game – both here and abroad.

“My many years in the game have taught me that it is equally as important who you work with and align yourself with, as well as what you know. This is truly an outstanding opportunity, which again shows the ambition of our club.”
