An Oswestry business owner stepped up to run an LGBTIA+ inclusion workshop for businesses and community organisations in the area.
G Sabini-Roberts, who has been running a brand design business since 2012, took this initiative as part of Oswestry's first Pride celebrations.
After experiencing first hand the exclusion of trans and nonbinary people due to a lack of knowledge, the organiser decided to run the workshop.
The workshop leader who identifies as nonbinary, said: "I like to believe that most people want to be welcoming and inclusive.
"But if you haven’t got someone who is trans or nonbinary in your family or friendship group it can feel challenging and uncomfortable to adapt to using new language or think about how spaces can inadvertently feel threatening to someone who experiences gender differently."
The 90-minute live and in-person workshop is set to take place on Friday, June 14 at 11.30am at the Oswestry Climate Action Hub.
It aims to give business owners, managers and community group leaders across Shropshire more knowledge and confidence.
The business added: "You don’t know what you don’t know, but for those who would like to know more, I am delighted to be delivering this workshop."
Free pronoun badges will be given away during Oswestry Pride events.
Tickets for the workshop can be bought online at https://ginabranddesign.thrivecart.com/lbgtqia-business-inclusion-event.
