THE area’s main water provider Severn Trent has remained tight-lipped over the cause of a 30-foot jet of water in an Oswestry street on Monday.
Workers for the company were at the corner of Welsh Walls, close to Brynhafod Park, when a passer-by caught footage of the huge water jet coming out of the ground.
A spokesman for the company said the water jet, which shot straight into the sky, was soon under the workers’ control and the issue was swiftly fixed.
