The council have said they will be starting repairs on the road near Oswestry dubbed the ‘worst in the Shropshire’.
Shropshire Council have said they will be starting repairs on a road near Selattyn that has been the focus of frustration for local residents after it was closed due to the severity of the potholes.
“I honestly think it is probably the worst road in the county – we have some bad roads around here but this is pretty horrific,” said Elinor.

“I went over it the other day and heard a clonk on my car, I’m sure there must have been damage to other cars because I have a four-wheel drive and have quite a bit of ground clearance.”
This has seen residents take matters into their own hands, with some even trying to do their own patch repairs using stones they have collected.
Shropshire Council had been the subject of criticism from residents who felt their concerns were not being taken seriously.

However the Council have said that the road will be having immediate repairs.
A spokesperson for Shropshire Council said: “A temporary road closure had to be set-up for this section of road due to its condition and the significant repairs required.
“However, our contractors, Kier, are planning to begin repair work tomorrow, Friday June 7.”
