Thousands turn out to enjoy Saturday's Chirk Carnival

The event took place on Saturday (June 1) at Chirk Recreational Ground, with a range of activities on offer to those in attendance from 10am until 7pm.

There was live music and stunt shows, as well as an Artisan Market, street food, an onsite bar, a fairground, and more. 

The weather was on the side of organisers, who confirmed that over 3,800 attended the event on Saturday. 

The event was put on by Fair Event Management Ltd - who also run Wrexham Feast and the Artisan Markets. 

Company founder and organiser of the Chirk Carnival, Samantha Harris said: "It was a huge success, and once again, we welcomed thousands of visitors to Chirk. The weather was kind to us, too, which helped!

"We had some amazing stunt shows this year including the incredible Savage Skills BXM team who performed throughout the day, We had the Welsh Under 15s mounted games display team, The Glyn Vally Tram Way trust brought a steam engine, The Delta School of Performing arts joined us with over 80 performers, back to back music throughout the day.

"We had loads of free family activities too – Cardboard City, Giant Sand Pit, Circus Skills, Jester Performances and street performers all day.

"We would also like to thank our sponsors, DR & FA Ford, Kronospan and TG Skips and the community volunteers who also supported the event this year, giving their valuable time to help and helping with a community litter pick and clean up Sunday morning.

"The event has also this year been supported by WCBC and UKSPF funding.

"We will be returning again next year on the June 7, 2025."
