A PRIZE-WINNING Welsh harpist will bring ‘The Music of Heaven’ to a picturesque setting near Ellesmere next week.
Bethan Conway, from Treuddyn in Flintshire, will be performing at a special Music by the Mere event at St John the Evangelist Church, Colemere on the evening of Sunday, June 9.
A spokesman for the church gave the background to Bethan’s career and said they were looking forward to her arrival.

They said: “The talented musician who has toured venues across Europe and America, has been playing the harp since she was 10, after taking up the piano, aged seven.
“She went on to gain a first-class honours degree at the Royal College of Music and win the harp solo prize at the Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales, as well as other prestigious awards.
“Bethan now enjoys a career as a freelance musician playing piano and harp.

“She often appears with orchestras around the UK, including the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, working with world-renowned conductors such as Edward Gardner, Bernard Haitink and Rafael Payare.”
The concert at Colemere starts at 6.30pm.
